Branching out

One of the best things about the Men’s Movement is the sense of camaraderie one feels, the intellectual stimulation, and the opportunity to rise to a challenge every once in a while. We are a large group of people, but until now,we have traveled in small circles. I liken it to a group of young braves huddled around a campfire, listening to the village elders impart their wisdom. Our group is growing, and as we grow in size, we also grow in understanding of that wisdom. If we want to encourage that growth, some of us must ride out as apostles of the “received traditions of our people”.

We should aim to begin to make inroads into the mainstream.

Matthew 13:3-9

And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Such were the words of advice given in the bible for Apostles of the Christian faith. It is also good advice for the Apostles of our message. We must begin to find “good ground” for our “seed”. Misandry is ubiquitous, but like stony ground, it is softer in some places than others. Even a tiny crack is good enough for our message, for over time, the roots of our “seed” will split even rock solid misandry. We need to establish pockets of growth wherever possible. The number and kinds of places where this is possible might surprise you. Imagine, for instance, the amount of good that could be accomplished by encouraging the growth of anti-feminism in dating sites, marriage counseling sites, and the like, where men are already getting a bum deal but don’t understand WHY. We kill two birds with one stone, liberating men from these anti-male money sinkholes designed to exploit men’s fondness for the opposite sex,and attacking the enemy near strategic weak points.

These are not exactly mainstream venues, but strategic outposts where our message can filter into the mainstream.

Obviously, that means we must start slowly, moving toward the areas with more popular appeal from the areas with less. The idea is not to debate or explain our arguments, though we could if necessary, but to do as feminism does, merely assert our ideas as established and incontestable fact. This is how we sway the public to our side, we must make them believe they already agree with us. In order to do that, they must see our message everywhere they go.

So whenever possible, make or leave an MRA statement or meme everywhere YOU go,from bathrooms to boardrooms. No need to be overt, most men understand that marriage is a bad deal for us,simply remind them of it. Go forth like the Apostles and preach the “good news” that men are no longer obligated to honor or care for women. They wanted out of their traditional roles (ostensibly in order to be more equal to men, but actually in order to have their cake and eat it too, as can be seen today),that means we are also no longer bound by the rules of the former system. Like it says in the scripture I quoted, some people will hear you, and some will not. If a person or group of people will not listen to you, “shake off the dust of your feet” as a testament against them,i.e., walk away and put them out of your mind.

Let’s increase the scope of our operations as much as possible. I know it is like pushing a boulder up a hill. It is hard, but it is necessary, and like pushing a boulder up a hill, once we get to the top, the power will be on our side.

Take our “gospel” to the four corners of the earth, and when the time is right, we will strike, with the full force of the public on our side, a mighty death blow to feminism.

  2. Ahhhh! Excellent! I like this!

And I like the biblical-flavored rhetoric, too!

    As for me. . .

My way of sowing the seed (other than the usual blogging) is to PUBLISH in a way the word will get circulated beyond the circle of mere web surfers.

I have put out writiings on PDF. . and there is no telling how far these will circulate and where they will finally turn up.

I have also done podcasts, which are fun and dramatic, but. . . quite heavy in the megabyte dept. (As opposed to the PDFs, which are feather-light!)

Thanks, I thought a parable might be a good place to start with a post, the idea of parables being to condense a complicated subject into a more readily understood form.

I have viewed much of your material, I found it quite impressive. You are a gifted writer.

  5. I agree, spreading the word is good. I encourage people to spread the anti-feminist pictures I made:

  6. Me likey.

Beware, your logo will be interpreted in negative ways by some.

    • Lol. I was acutely aware of that when I designed it,but the fact is that Men’s Rights Activists need a common symbol to gather under, such as the stars and stripes for Americans, the female symbol with the fist for the feminists, or the hammer and sickle for the Soviet Russians.

I humbly submit my own logo for this purpose. It is composed of four sickles moving backwards, symbolizing the destruction of the old order, and a pinwheel flower shape in the middle symbolizing the growth of a new order. The red is for courage and the black is for truth.

I am aware it bears a striking resemblance to many symbols, not all of them carrying positive connotations, but I also believe it commands respect in a way that, say, a fist in the symbol for “male” or something of that nature, cannot.

Such is the nature of symbols, they mean whatever the people of a particular time and place believe they mean. I have explained what my symbol stands for here, so if anyone should take issue with it, I will refer them to this thread.

  7. “This is how we sway the public to our side, we must make them believe they already agree with us.”

This has affinities with the method employed by Socrates, which was to act as a “midwife of memory” – calling forth from the mind of the learner what he already knows anyway.

The true knowledge is not ‘lost’, but only BURIED.
